The Digby and Area Health Service Charitable Foundation is a registered charitable organization that is governed by an independent Board of Directors. It has been formed as a trust to manage funds for the purpose of maintaining present and future health services within the Digby area.

We are so excited to share with you that we have joined forces with other healthcare foundations across the province to bring you a new monthly 50/50 lottery fundraiser! How is our 50/50 different? Funds raised will be distributed evenly among participants! The smallest foundation will receive the same amount as the largest. We’re working together to improve healthcare for everyone in Nova Scotia, because that’s what Nova Scotian’s do!   Funds raised will help purchase essential equipment and support community-focused programs in every participating foundation.

This annual tournament is the Foundation's main fundraising event and it always promises an afternoon of great golf and plenty of laughs!

Donations made to the DAHSCF go directly back in to our community. Here is a list of recent donations the Foundation made on behalf of its donors:

  • $10,000 - TCRCE Healthy Promoting Schools

  • $5,000 - Digby Splash Park Society

  • $1,000 - The Digby Cancer Help Fund Association

  • $115,000 - Equipment purchases for the Digby General Hospital (Combi-Oven, Treatment
    Plinths (4), Stretchers (7), Patient Lift, Low Rise
    Bed (2), Ultrasound and Interferential Combo Unit)

  • $29,322 - Infant Warmer, Infant Scale

  • $18,200 - RCMP Seniors’ Safety Society

  • $9,000 - Tideview Terrace True Doors

  • $5,000 - DARC Active Digby Fund

  • $10,000 - DARC Equipment Loan Program
